A strange case came to light in the last few hours, with a “protagonist” stepmother who, citing a serious health problem of her 4-year-old son, allegedly set up a fund-raising scamraising thousands of euros.
As the 45-year-old claims, little Dionysis was diagnosed with cancer in the central optic nerve of his eye and had to travel to a specialized center in Germany for surgery. The donations to raise money for the minor’s “rescue” trip they followed each other from different parts of Greece and were paid into a bank account in the mother’s name. According to complaints, the woman has provided false medical documents, while he has no child named “Dionysi”. As revealed by MEGA, the mother sent a document which, according to doctors at the Agia Sophia Children’s Hospital, is fake.
They explain that the AMKA does not correspond to the child’s name that is written, that the health problem is not reflected in the document with the correct medical terminology and that a number of employee details and stamps either do not exist or were forged. Regarding the citizens’ complaints that it is a fraud, the 45-year-old replies that it is not the case, while she does not know why the child’s AMKA corresponds to another person.
The same time, new revelations come to the fore who want the mother to have a “past” in cases of forgery and deception, “biting” even her employer of many years. Among the people who were moved by the case of the 4-year-old, was also the businesswoman Dimitra Katsafadou, who was preparing to give 40,000 euros after a contact she had with the mother, as she stated.
However, as reported by police sources in “Peloponnisos”, the 45-year-old does not seem to have concerned the local ELAS, as there has been no official complaint against her.
