The Karolos Koun Art Theatre initiates it “Open Stage”an original program of knowledge, dialogue and creation, where science and art meet on stage, but also with the public, on the occasion of issues that strongly concern our time.
The beginning takes place on Wednesday 29 November at 19.00on the Phrynicho stage, with the theme: “Climate crisis: our lives are changing”.
In the first event concerning the most important issue that concerns us today, the distinguished academic, National Representative for Climate Change, Secretary General and Supervisor of the Research Center for Atmospheric Physics and Climatology of the Academy of Athens, Professor Christos Zerefoswill deliver a speech entitled: “Science and Art in Climate Crises”.
A discussion with the audience will follow, while the event will close with the presentation of a composition of music and texts inspired by the theme, performed by actors who graduated from the Dramatic School of the Art Theater
but also students.
The opening speech will be made by the elected Mayor of Athens, Professor of Energy and Environmental Policy at the National Technical University of Athens, Harry Doukas.
Entry is free to the public. Tickets will be available on the day of the event at the theater box office (from 5pm). Priority will be strictly followed as places are limited.
The first spectacular of the “Open Stage” with the title: “Climate crisis: our lives are changing”will occupy us in two more events (December 13 and 20).
