The Press Museum of the Association of Editors of Daily Newspapers of the Peloponnese Continent Islands (ESHEPIN) at 200 Maizonos Street in Patras, organizes an exhibition dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising, in November 1973. The exhibition includes original documents and press publications (of the time and of the following years) belonging to the archive of the Press Museum.

The texts narrate frame by frame those difficult times when young people boldly wanted to claim their future. The exhibits are unique documents, where the historian can stoop to extract details and see the truth captured in all its power.

The organization of the thematic exhibition that coincides with the 50th anniversary gives the public the opportunity to get to know the events of the Polytechnic through the pages of the press.

The following titles are indicated:

• “Evening demonstrations by students, still staying in the Annex” (FATHER’S DAY)

• “Student events yesterday in the streets of Patras, radio transmitters were activated” (PELOPONNISOS PATRON)

• “Dead and injured in the center of Athens” (THE STEP)

• “Tanks intervened” (THE NEWS).

For organized visits of schools, clubs and groups of more than five people to the exhibition hosted at the Press Museum of ESIEPIN, the secretariat of the Press Museum should be contacted beforehand on the phone: 2610310488.
