Syros: Architect Engineer Tasos Babaris has passed away
Architect Engineer Tasos Babaris, founding member of the company Aegean SA – Technical & Financial Support Consultants, passed away today.
Tasos Babaris was one of the architects who possessed vision, finesse, imagination and persistence in his work. He was active, along with other notable colleagues, at a time when the country had passed the era of architectural modernism and was looking for its footing, in the new architectural and spatial planning. Tasos Babaris left an indelible mark on all the islands of the South Aegean Region, with a rich architectural work in both public buildings (mainly schools) and private ones.
However, apart from his professional recognition, Tasos Babaris was for many years an active member of the society of Syros, with a rich social and charitable work, having actively contributed with his personality to a multitude of social and charitable associations of the island.
Honoring his memory, the Board of Directors of the company decided as follows:
a) Express his deepest condolences to his relatives,
b) Attend the funeral procession of the late co-founder with a company representative,
c) Place a wreath on the grave of the deceased,
d) The company’s offices remain closed on the day of the funeral procession.
