A 39-year-old man and his 33-year-old wife were selling olive oil of dubious authenticity in a 5 kg package for 20 euros
An androgynous man was arrested in Thessaloniki near a street market where he was selling olive oil of dubious qualityas reported by Alpha.
Twelve metal and plastic containers containing 5 liters of oil each, for which they did not have purchase invoices, were seized.
It is a 39-year-old man and his 33-year-old wife (citizens), who sold each package for 20 euros. Both were arrested and taken to the prosecutor’s office.
They were confiscated pad with handwritten notes used by the arrested for their orders and stickers with their contact details in order to promote the products.
His scale APPEAL was called to the scene and took samples of the seized oils for further laboratory examination at the State Chemistry.
The operation was carried out by police officers of the Operational Tactic and Action Department of the Organized Crime Directorate of Thessaloniki.
The prosecuting attorney requested that it be completed the laboratory examination for the quality of the oils in order to subsequently decide on their criminal treatment.
