They were arrestedthe day before yesterday afternoon, on the New National Road of Patras – Pyrgos, from policemen of the OPKE of the Security Sub-Directorate of Pyrgos, two citizens (man – woman), against whom a criminal case was filed, for cultivation and possession of drugs, reports EL.AS.
More specifically, according to the police announcement, OPKE police officers of the Pyrgos Security Sub-Directorate spotted the defendants driving a vehicle on the Patras – Pyrgos National Road and stopped them for a check, during which they found and seized 19.1 grams of cannabis and a cigarette with a mixture of cannabis smoke.
In a subsequent investigation at the house of the two arrested in Patras, the police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Department of the Pyrgos Security Sub-Directorate, found and seized (687.9) grams of cannabis, (13) cannabis seedlings, the height of which reached one and a half meters, as and two hemp plants, ten centimeters high.
The defendants cultivated the cannabis plants, using the hydroponic cultivation method, in two rooms of the house, where they had developed improvised tents, while they had installed complete equipment for the growth of the seedlings, such as ventilation fans, light bulbs, transformers and electronic thermometers.
The arrested were taken to the District Attorney of Ilia.
