Significant decline will be presented by temperature today, with its maximum prices not to exceed 17-19 °C in the north continentally and in the Northern Aegean, the 20-22 °C in the rest of the continents (with the exception of the south of the Peloponnese where in places it will reach 24-25 °C), the 19-21 °C in the Ionian and the 22-24 °C in the islands of the Central and South Aegean and in Crete.
The map below shows the expected drop in maximum temperature today compared to yesterday. As can be seen, in parts of Central Macedonia, Thessaly, Eastern Sterea and Eastern Peloponnese the decline is expected to exceed the 8 °C.
The weather today
In most of the country predictorsclouds from early morning, and there will be rainfall and local storms in Thrace, and light rainfall in Thessaly, Central Greece, Pel/nisos, Crete and the islands of the Central and Eastern Aegean, possibly also in the Cyclades. In the afternoon the weather will improve, but the clouds will remain in most areas of the country.
The temperature in Western Macedonia it will range from 2 to 15 degrees Celsius, in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace 4 to 18, in Thessaly from 6 to 19, in Epirus from 3 to 20, in Sterea from 8 to 24, in the Peloponnese from 7 to 22, in the Ionian islands from 10 to 20, in the Northern and Eastern Aegean islands from 12 to 24, in the Cyclades from 14 to 21, in the Dodecanese from 14 to 24 and in Crete from 7 to 24 degrees Celsius.
The winds in the Northern and Central Aegean, moderate to strong 4-6 Beaufort winds will initially blow from the north, weakening from the afternoon. In the Dodecanese the winds will blow from changing directions at a light 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the rest of the South Aegean the winds will initially blow from west directions 3 to 4 Beaufort and from noon they will blow from north directions up to 5 Beaufort. In the Ionian, winds will blow from northwesterly directions up to 5 Beaufort and will gradually weaken from late afternoon.
MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: In the east, a few clouds temporarily increased until noon, when local rains will occur and in Thrace in the early hours of the morning isolated storms. In the rest of the areas, generally sunny with sparse clouds from the afternoon.
Winds: From north directions 3 to 5 and in the morning hours to sea local 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 09 to 20 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia the maximum will be 3 to 4 degrees lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WEST STEREA, WEST PELOPONNISOS
Weather: A few clouds locally increasing in the south in the morning hours with local showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.
Winds: From north directions 3 to 5 and in the morning hours in the Ionian local 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 11 to 22 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus 3 to 4 degrees lower.
EASTERN STEREA, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Clouds at times increased with local rains. Chance of isolated storms in the early morning hours in Sterea and Evia.
Winds: Northerly 3 to 5 and east local 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 14 to 24 degrees Celsius.
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: A few clouds in some places with a chance of light rain.
Winds: From west directions 4 to 6 and gradually from the north of north directions with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 17 to 25 degrees Celsius.
EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE
Weather: On the islands of the eastern Aegean, clouds with local rains and sporadic storms in the morning hours. In the Dodecanese, sparse clouds will gradually thicken and there will be light rain after noon.
Winds: North-northeasterly 4 to 6 and south-westerly 3 to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 17 to 25 degrees Celsius. In the north 3 to 4 degrees lower.
THESSALY
Weather: A few locally increased clouds mainly in the prefecture of Magnesia where there will be local rains and possibly isolated storms in the morning hours.
Winds: Northerly 3 to 5 and east local 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 12 to 18 degrees Celsius.
THESSALONIKI
Weather: Generally sunny with temporary clouds in the east in the morning hours.
Winds: From northerly directions 3 to 5 and in the early morning hours at sea local 6 Beaufort. Gradually from noon variable 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 12 to 19 degrees Celsius.
ATTICA
Weather: A few clouds at times increased with the possibility of local rains mainly in the east and north.
Winds: Northerly 3 to 5 and east local 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 11 to 24 degrees Celsius.
FORECAST FOR TOMORROW FRIDAY 10-11-2023
Initially in the northern Ionian, Epirus, western Sterea and western Macedonia, from noon in the rest of the west, central Macedonia and Thessaly and from the afternoon in eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the islands of the northeastern Aegean clouds with sporadic rains and storms likely locally strong mainly in the west. In the rest of the country, sparse clouds at intervals thicker with the possibility of local rains in the Cyclades in the evening hours.
Visibility will be locally limited in the morning and evening hours.
Winds will blow to the west from southerly directions 5 to 6 locally in the northern Ionian to 7 Beaufort with weakening from the afternoon. In the east initially from northerly directions 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually from the west southerly winds 4 to 6 Beaufort will prevail.
Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust to the south.
The temperature will drop slightly in the north.
FORECAST FOR SATURDAY 11-11-2023
In the west, the central, the north, and the islands of the northeast Aegean clouds with local rain and sporadic storms possibly locally strong in the west and north. The phenomena in the evening in the west will weaken. In the rest of the areas, clouds temporarily increased with sporadic rains and from midday isolated storms mainly in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese.
Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust to the south.
The winds will blow south southwest 5 to 7, in the northeast Aegean possibly temporary locally 8 Beaufort. From the afternoon in the west westerlies 4 to 6 Beaufort
The temperature will rise slightly mainly in the east.
FORECAST FOR SUNDAY 12-11-2023
In the eastern and southern island country clouds with local rain and sporadic storms and gradual weakening. In the rest of the areas, sparse clouds temporarily thicker with the possibility of weak local rains in the west. From the afternoon in the west, the phenomena will intensify and sporadic storms will occur.
Winds will blow from the west at 3 to 5 Beaufort. Gradually in the west they will turn to south directions 4 to 6 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop slightly in the west and north.
