The Shelter for Battered Women of the Municipality of Komotini, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, invites you to the theatrical performance of “From the Common Theatre” The small word love, by Augustus Kortos, adapted and directed by Nadias Dalkyriadou, with Angeliki Xenou and Vasiliki Kouli, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 21:00, at the REX cinema.
The project is based on the novel of the same name by Augustus Korto, published by Pataki publications, and it touches on the sensitive and topical issue of gender and family violence.
A few words about the show
Mandia, the girl from Blind Water, learned what violence means first hand. Within the family, by the hand of the father. It was time to break free from her tormentor for a better life, but a new cycle of violence awaited her…..behind a love, well hidden, a new tormentor. A new cycle of violence, more painful.
