With its announcement, the Hellenic Basketball Federation announced that the fans who will support the Women’s national team in the match against the Czech Republic (12/9) will also support the company REMIND, which has as its object the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Great move by EEC which announced that the proceeds from the Women’s National Basketball match against the Czech Republic will be allocated in order to support the company REMINDERan organization dedicated to the fight against Alzheimer’s.
The announcement of the Hellenic Basketball Federation states:
“The Women’s National Team plays its first home game on the way to EuroBasket 2025 in Chalkida. The fans who will support the Greek athletes will also support an important cause: the proceeds of the match will be allocated to the REMIND organization, the Greek society for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders of Chalkida.
The amount that will be collected from the tickets of the match and will be handed over to the representatives of the REMIND organization at half-time of the Greece-Czech Republic match. We remind you that the match will be held on Sunday, November 12 at 17.00 (ERT2) at the “T. Kambouris” in Kanithos. Eurobasket 2025 will be hosted in our country.
Information about the organization
The REMIND-Hellenic Society of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders of Chalkida was founded in 2009 in Chalkida by relatives of people with dementia, with the aim of strengthening support and inclusion processes for elderly people.
It is a non-profit association, a member of the Panhellenic Federation of Alzheimer and Related Disorders, included in the National Register of Non-Profit Private Sector Bodies for social care services and in the Special Register of Voluntary Non-Governmental Organizations.
Greece has learned its opponents for the Women’s Eurobasket 2025, which will be hosted by our country, which will organize a group and the final phase.
The organization’s main activities include psychosocial empowerment interventions, intergenerational programs and actions to disseminate responsible information on mental health and memory issues, which are carried out at local, regional and national levels. The organization coordinates the “Agia Irini” Day Center for Dementia, which is implemented in Chalkida by the Ministry of Health, with resources from the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
