The support and treatment of families with three children as vulnerable social groups is requested by Head of Department for Rural Development and Food and Member of Parliament for Larisa of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance Mr. Vassilis Kokkaliswith reference to the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Lefteris Avgenakis.
In particular, Mr. Kokkalis submitted as a reference the letter of the Federation of Multi-Member Families with Three Children of Greece (OPOTTE) concerning the adoption of support measures for families with three children.
According to the letter, there are more than 200,000 families with three children, they belong to the most vulnerable groups in society and are mercilessly affected by the current economic situation, while “they are the ‘key’ to dealing with the low birth rate and the Demographic problem, and their support is very important for the place.”
It is reported that “the precision and obscene profit that exists in consumer goods, fuel and energy affects us all, but it affects more large families” as well as the fact that “when in the next period and the possibility of a food crisis is visible and producers are seeing their products rot with export problems IMMEDIATE intervention is REQUIRED.”
It is pointed out that “families with three children who face problems from natural disasters (floods, fires, etc.) should have the treatment that vulnerable social groups need in subsidies, loans, debts, etc. (although this should apply to everyone.)”
A set of proposals is proposed and the necessary measures to support families with three children are requested to be taken in order to deal with the Demographic problem which has reached “explosive proportions.”
