On December 5, the construction groups are invited to submit bids in a relevant tender recently re-announced by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for the construction of a section of the “Lamia – Karpenisi” road axis.
It’s about him “Road Axis Lamia – Karpenisi, section Connecting the end of the Makrakomi bypass with the eastern front of the Timfristos Tunnel”, budget 200 million euros.
In the competition of course the country’s major construction groups GEK TERNA, AKTOR (Ellactor group), AVAX, Intrakat, METKA (Mytilineos) are expected to attendalthough until then we will have developments on the subject of the Intrakat – AKTOR deal, but possibly also smaller schemes.
We remind you, after all, as insider.gr has revealed from time to time, that this tender, as well as the corresponding one for the “Ioannina – Kakkavia” road project (310 million euros, offers on 14/11), were blocked due to appeals by Domiki Kritis S.A. – EKTER S.A. – ERETVO S.A. – TE.NA A.T.E.V.E., were canceled and re-auctioned. As long as the interested parties do not find any “grey areas”, they will obviously consider participating in the competition. Who will be carried out using the study and construction method and will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, the pre-selection – invitation for expressions of interest by submitting a participation application is foreseen, and in the second stage, the invitation to submit a technical and financial offer.
What is the project
The a particularly complex project from a technical point of view, approximately 30 km long., which almost entirely follows a new alignment, extends within the boundaries of the Fthiotida Regional Unit by upgrading the EO38 (Lamia – Karpenissi – Agrinio) and concerns the section from the end of the Makrakomi bypass to the eastern front of the Tymfristos tunnel.
The new road axis, which belongs to the secondary National Network of the country, as well as to the Greek Trans-European Network, is a very profitable development project for Central Greece.
It contributes significantly to the improvement of road safety and the reduction of travel time, for all vehicles, while providing high added value to the trade and tourism sectors.
Finally, it is noted that for this project, among other things, the construction of large technical bridging works, reinforced embankments, reinforced earth walls, reinforced retaining walls, trench walls, reinforced embankment bases, level junctions, technical overpasses, numerous culverts is foreseen , while the arrangement of streams is also foreseen.
