A few hours ago, the optional subscription option for 9.99 euros per month became available in Greece for those who do not want their data to be used for advertising on Meta’s platforms. Facebook and Instagram, as announced a few weeks ago.
Paying for the subscription removes all ads on both social networks, while this is a different service than the Meta Verified which offers the blue tick next to the user’s name.
Already, since the previous hours, the Meta in Greece is sending a notification to all users of the two networks about the options they have, either access for free with their data used for targeted ads or pay monthly to not see ads.
It is noted that the amount amounts to 9.99 euros per month for those who pay through the browser, while if someone registers through the application on iOS or Android, the subscription is 12.99 euros per month due to the fees imposed by Apple and Google .
