Transfer of the headquarters of the 1/th Special Primary School of Astros to the Primary School of Astros

The transfer of the seat of the 1/th Special Primary School of Astros from the inactive Primary School of Meligous to the Primary School of Astros was decided by the mayor of North Kynouria Giorgos Kampylis.

The decision was taken after the meeting of the Municipal Education Committee of the Municipality of North Kynouria in which it was unanimously decided to transfer the seat of the 1/th Special Primary School of Astros from the inactive Primary School of Meligous to the Primary School of Astros.

The President of the Municipal Education Committee, Mr. Arfanis Alexios, introducing the issue, said:

“With decision No. 057/2016 of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of North Kynouria, the establishment of a School Unit for Special Education and Education, in the Municipality of North Kynouria, was proposed, which will be housed in the building of the suspended Primary School of Meligous.

With the Official Gazette 2591/t. Β΄/22/08/2016 “Establishments, Promotions, Demotions, Mergers and Abolitions of School Units of Special Education and Education (SMEAE) of Primary Education” was established in the 1st Special Primary School of Astros based at the inactive Primary School of Meligous.

Due to the transformation of the inactive Primary School of Meligous into a multi-purpose area for educational, social and cultural activities, it is proposed to transfer the headquarters of the 1/th Special Primary School of Astros to the Primary School of Astros.

The Director of Astros Primary School with the no. 535/27-10-2023 his document positively recommends, regarding the transfer of the headquarters of the 1/th Special Primary School of Astros to the Primary School of Astros with the condition that in the event of its reopening, the available spaces and the appropriate conditions for the unhindered and smooth operation of both schools.”

The mayor’s decision states that with the adoption of this order, no burden is created on the operational costs of the school.
