“Plunge” of the temperature, where it will rain – The weather in Thessaloniki

The temperature will show a significant drop on Thursday 09/11, according to the latest forecast data of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr.

Its maximum values ​​are not expected to exceed 17-19 °C in the northern continents and in the North Aegean, 20-22 °C in the rest of the continents (with the exception of the southern Peloponnese where it will reach 24-25 °C in places) , 19-21 °C in the Ionian and 22-24 °C in the islands of the Central and South Aegean and in Crete.

The following map shows the expected drop in maximum temperature on Thursday 09/11 compared to Wednesday 08/11. As it seems, in parts of Central Macedonia, Thessaly, Eastern Sterea and Eastern Peloponnese the drop is expected to exceed 8 °C.

Clouds with local rains, a noticeable drop in temperature and stronger north winds are expected on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

In more detail, in most parts of the country clouds are predicted from early in the morning, and will be noted rainfall and local storms in Thrace, and light rainfall in Thessaly, Central Greece, Pel/nisos, Crete and the islands of the Central and Eastern Aegean, possibly also in the Cyclades. The temperature in Western Macedonia will range from 2 to 15 degrees Celsius, in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace 4 to 18, in Thessaly from 6 to 19, in Epirus from 3 to 20, in Sterea from 8 to 24, in the Peloponnese from 7 to 22, in the Ionian islands from 10 to 20, in the Northern and Eastern Aegean islands from 12 to 24, in the Cyclades from 14 to 21, in the Dodecanese from 14 to 24 and in Crete from 7 to 24 degrees Celsius.

Winds in the Northern and Central Aegean will initially blow from northerly directions, moderate to strong 4-6 Beaufort, weakening from the afternoon. In the Dodecanese the winds will blow from changing directions at a light 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the rest of the South Aegean the winds will initially blow from west directions 3 to 4 Beaufort and from noon they will blow from north directions up to 5 Beaufort. In the Ionian, winds will blow from northwesterly directions up to 5 Beaufort and will gradually weaken from late afternoon.

In Attica, clouds are expected with passing rains. Winds will generally blow from northerly directions up to 5 Beaufort. The temperature in the center of Athens will range from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius.

In state Thessaloniki few clouds are expected. Winds will initially blow from north directions up to 4 Beaufort and from the afternoon from south directions with an intensity of up to 3 Beaufort. The temperature in the center of Thessaloniki will range from 10 to 17 degrees Celsius.
