The Union of Old Scouts of the 1st System honored Andreas Agathos Start Media Corfu TV

On the eve of New Year’s Eve, the annual honor evening of the Association of Old Scouts of the 1st System of Corfu, dedicated to a personality-Old Scout of the System, on the evening of Saturday, November 4, 2023, in the intimate and welcoming space of the Reading Society’s funeral home in a warm and moving atmosphere the Union honored the distinguished thoracic and cardiothoracic surgeon ANDREA AGATHO, Old Scout of the 1st Group Lions.

According to the press release: “A scientist with a multi-page resume, with many years of brilliant research and surgical tenure in the largest cardiac surgery centers of the United Kingdom and the USA where he was trained obtaining 9 scientific titles and collaborated for a number of years with the leading cardiac surgeons of these countries.

Since the end of the 90s, he returned to Greece and worked as a Director in the largest private hospitals of Athens “HYGEIA” and “MEDICAL CENTER OF ATHENS” and in recent years he has been the Director of Cardiac Surgery at “EUROCLINIKI ATHENS”.

With vast surgical experience in experimental laboratories in the past, today he is one of the pioneers in Greece in Endoscopic Surgery, where through small holes in the patient’s chest, valve corrections or replacements are carried out with very large and multi-level benefits for the patient.

Apart from these, from 1974 to 1977 he was the champion of Greece in swimming and in 2000 the 2nd World Champion of Underwater Fishing in La Paz, Mexico.

This beautiful evening was completed with his registration as a regular member.”
