The Conservatory “En Odais” Lamia is pleased to announce the creation as well as the start of classes of its children’s and youth choir.

The responsible teacher is the award-winning conductor in Greece and abroad in many competitions Ms. Myra Papapostolou who has been conductor for a number of years in the Albatros Choir of the Music School of Lamia.

The start of the lessons will be on Saturday 11 November 2023 and hours 10.00 – 12.00 in the concert hall of our conservatory

Biography of Maria Papapostolo

Maria Papapostolou was born and raised in Athens. He is a graduate and diploma holder in piano at the National Conservatory of Athens, where he won second prize. She continued her studies at the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University, receiving continuous scholarships. She has attended seminars with distinguished pianists such as Eleni Mouzala, Lampis Vassiliadis, Vassilis Tsapropoulos, Dimitris Toufexis, Rafik Kuliev, Marek Jablonski, and received her diploma as a piano soloist. She has collaborated with various artists as a piano soloist such as Evanthia Reboutsika, Pantelis Thalassinos, Melina Kana, Vassilis Papakonstantinou.

Since 2002 he has been teaching piano at the Music School of Lamia until today. He has participated in several choir conducting seminars such as with Therees Hibbard, Maria Emma Meligopoulou, Basilio Astulez Duque, Joshi Kinoshita, and has taken part in the Corfu Summer Academy.

In 2016, he created the AlBaTroS choir at the Music School of Lamia, made up of 45 high school and high school students. They have participated in many festivals and competitions where they have received important distinctions such as the 1st prize out of competition at H.O.N and the 2nd prize and silver medal at the 4th Panhellenic Music Competition “D. Mitropoulos”, and to this day they continue their music journey.
