“Precisely because we are going to talk about the 2021 Account and Balance Sheet, I would like to refer to unprecedented event which happened on Friday and concerns the financial year 2021. Then it was given State aid to the airline Aegean height 120 million euros and at the same time they participated and private shareholders with 60 million in the increase of the Company’s share capital, in order to be supported by the drop in traffic, and thus in the share, due to the pandemic at that time.
Today, participation of individuals amounting to 60 million valued at 213 million and Public, exercising the right option prematurely and completely inexplicably, leads to a loss of about 35 million.
The Minister of Finance must take back the Letter immediately with which he closes this case, because politically he can’t stand it in no criticism, financially it does not stand -if the budget really depends on 85 million euros, it is another matter, let the Minister tell us – but above all it does not stand morally. They are none of ours, nor the Government’s taxpayers’ money to manage them in such a way.
A bit later had the State exercised its right, it would have succeeded full recovery of the 120 million eyuro, because the Aegean share logically due to the development of air traffic and tourism constantly rising».
