Students from music and art schools protested in Syntagma Square
Students from music and art schools protested at noon in Syntagma Square for beating of the 16-year-oldwho, according to complaints, was a victim of police brutality, resulting in severe head injuries.
“No tolerance for the violence of OPKE” and “solidarity with the 16-year-old anti-fascist” were written, among other things, on the banners of the gathered. The gathering took place in the context of a nationwide day of action for minors, while a demonstration is planned for today at 7 p.m. in the Propylaea.
The Solidarity Assembly for Vasiliki states in its call that “on Saturday, October 28, an anti-fascist concert was organized in New Heraklion Square as part of the calls against the fascist fiesta of the 10-year anniversary of November 1 (execution of 2 members of the ACA by the Fighting People’s Revolutionary Forces) . During the concert, a group of anti-fascists patrolled the streets of N. Heraklion. At the end of the patrol, the group crossed paths with OPKE cars.”
“The cops without the slightest reason and while it was clear that the group was not in the mood to fight with them, attacked the body breaking it up, seriously injuring 16-year-old Vasiliki, sending her to the hospital in a comatose state,” the assembly complains.
