54-year-old complains that he was beaten and threatened to sign his dismissal with the terms the company wanted – Thestival

Police officers of the Department of Prosecution of Extortionists of the Directorate of Security of Thessaloniki, in the context of investigating a complaint and subsequently executing a relevant order of the Prosecution Authorities, for the conduct of a preliminary examination to verify the crime of extortion, investigated a case of extortion against a 54-year-old citizen.

According to the announcement by ELAS, for the case, a case file was filed against five (5) persons, aged 45, 31, 53, 47 and 36 years old, for, as the case may be, the offenses of extortion, complicity in extortion, illegal violence, aiding and abetting unlawful joint violence, robbery and indecent assault.

In particular, according to the complaint, in December 2022, the 54-year-old, working in a beauty services company, was informed by the 31-year-old owner of his dismissal, but due to disagreements regarding the financial terms of his contract, he was attacked and threatened from her 45-year-old husband, and then with the use of physical violence she took away a sum of money, vehicle keys and various personal items in his possession.

Afterwards, the 53-year-old took the victim to his home in order to hand them over what the perpetrators wanted, while after their return to the company, with the help of the other accomplices, they forced him to sign his dismissal with conditions favorable to the company.

The file will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor.
