It was the time when the trade union movement had sensitivity and combativeness – Today, has anyone noticed a similar mobilization or initiative at the level of trade unionists, but also of their leadership?

During the war of Yugoslavia, the trade union movement of Heraklion opened the parade of some National Anniversary in Heraklion, sending the message to stop the war. The parade took place before the military and student parade, sending the message of awareness to the citizens of Heraklion about a global issue taking place in the Balkan neighborhood.

It was the time when the trade union movement had sensitivity and militancy. Today, has anyone been aware of any similar mobilization or initiative at the level of trade unionists, but also of their leadership?

In the photo you can see the president of the teachers Nikos Mentzinis, the president of the Prefectural Department of ADEDY Nikos Amanakis, Grigoris Makaronas as the president of practical engineers, the president of ELME Nikos Alexakis and Giorgos Skoulatakis as the president of EKI. Also distinguished are the president of the printers, the late Nikos Restivakis, the secretary of the Prefectural Department of ADEDY Spyros Epitropakis and dozens of other union presidents.
