A 44-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man were arrested by police officers of the Kozani Security Department for human trafficking in the city of Kozani

In the context of the same case, a 70-year-old man was also arrested for bodily harm, while a case file was filed against him for the crime of insulting sexual dignity

Yesterday (06-11-2023) in the evening hours in Kozani, by police officers of the Kozani Security Department, -3- citizens, a 44-year-old woman and two men, aged 60 and 70, were arrested, against whom a criminal case was filed for the offenses of human trafficking, sexual assault, drug possession and bodily harm, as applicable.

In particular, after investigating a complaint regarding physical damage and sexual indignity of a 37-year-old foreigner by a 70-year-old citizen, it was found that the 44-year-old together with the 60-year-old, taking advantage of the 37-year-old’s vulnerable position, obtained her consent to sexually exploit her for a monetary fee.

In a check and search carried out on the 44-year-old, as well as in her home, in Kozani, a total of 15 tablets that fall under the provisions of the drug legislation were found and confiscated, the possession of which she could not justify.

The Kozani Security Department initiated a preliminary investigation into the case, while those arrested with the case file filed against them were taken to Ms. Criminal Prosecutor of Kozani.
