The parade by the SMYA Demonstration Platoon in the central streets of the city was enjoyed by people from Larissa who were in the center of Larissa today early Tuesday afternoon.
The parade, which started at Riga Feraio Square (Prefecture) and ended at the Guard Officers’ Club in the Central Square, took place as part of the Air Force’s celebrations for the memory of its Patron Saint, Archangel Michael. This year’s celebration is five days long, it started on Saturday 4 and will end tomorrow, Wednesday 8 November 2023.
The events are organized by the Tactical Aviation Headquarters at the Airport of the 110th Fighter Wing and in the center of the city of Larissa. The 110th Fighter Wing is open to the public from Saturday 4 to today, Tuesday 7 November 2023, from 09:00 to 17 :00. On Wednesday 8 November 2023, from 11:15 to 17:00.
The Air Force Headquarters Historical Exhibit Area “Aircraft Patterns” is open to the public from Saturday 4 to today, Tuesday 7 November 2023, from 09:00 to 17:00. It also operates a static and photographic exhibition of aircraft and other weapon systems of the Air Force. Specialized staff provide information about the exhibits.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 8, there will be a memorial service and laying of wreaths at the Fallen Heroes of the 110th Battle Wing, at 10:00. Official celebration – Doxology at the 110th Fighter Wing in the presence of Religious, Political and Military Authorities at 11:00.
Finally, a demonstration by the SMYA Demonstration Platoon at the exhibition area at the 110th Fighter Wing at 12:00 and then an Air Demonstration by DEMO TEAM “ZEUS” and DEMO TEAM “DAIDALOS”.
