An open event in honor of the former Prime Minister, Costas Simitis, was held last night at the “Hellenic World Cultural Center”.
The event was organized by the NETWORK for Reform in Greece and Europe, the Jacques Delors Institute and Reform magazine with the support of the Delphi Economic Forum.
Among others, the event was attended by the president of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, ministers, parliamentarians and other political figures, figures from the economic and academic Greek scene as well as youth representatives. The president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, chose not to attend the event.

According to the program, the event was opened by the president of the Network, Anna Diamantopoulou, while a video about the life and work of the former prime minister and president of PASOK, Kostas Simitis, was shown, as well as video greetings from international personalities.
A discussion followed with the Governor of the Bank of Greece, Mr. Yiannis Stournaras, the Professor Emeritus of the Department of Political Science & History of Panteion University, Mr. Yiannis Voulgaris and the Honorary Ambassador, Mr. Aristidis Agathoklis, moderated by the journalist, Mr. Pavlos Tsimas.
