The Technical Service of the Municipality of Syros-Ermoupoli is going to “Plan B”, in order to circumvent the problem with the “uncharted” cables of OTE, a problem which has created an interruption of work on the road in the Vourlis area.
It should be noted that the interruption of operations occurred at the beginning of October, as unregistered OTE networks were detected.
According to the Deputy Mayor of Technical Services of the Municipality of Syros-Ermoupoli, Mina Alifragki, after a meeting that took place, the recording and transfer times of the cables by OTE are prohibitive, as according to the first estimate, it takes 3-6 months to complete the aforementioned.
In this direction and due to the fact that the work in the specific area must be completed and the road delivered for use, it was decided that by November 16 a partial modification of the study will be completed, so that the required work (drilling) will be shifted from the area where the underground cables of OTE are located.
In this way, according to Mr. Alifragki, the project will be delivered within the relevant schedule that has been set.
