Settlers turn Thrace into a center of separatist nationalism – Anti-Hellenic forum hosted by parastatals in Komotini

The 9th Annual Meeting of the Working Group of Turkish Minorities/Communities (FUEN-TAG) was held in Komotini during the period 1-4 November 2023 with the responsibility of the organization being held by the representatives of the Turkish parastate in Thrace under the supervision of the Turkish Consul.
Representatives from ten Turkish organizations from eight different European countriesbringing together Turkish minorities and communities from the Balkans to the Caucasus participated in the meetings jointly organized by the “Federation of Turks of Western Thrace in Europe (ABTTF)”, “Friendship Equality and Peace Party (KIEF/DEB)” and “Minority Graduates University of Western Thrace Association (WTMUGA)”, who jointly represent the “Turkish community of Western Thrace” within the framework of FUEN.
During the work of the meeting, the Parastatal Settlers of Thrace and their differently identified interlocutors such as Meshet Turks, Kosovo Turks, Bulgarian Turks, Crimean Tatars, Romanian Tatars, Ukrainian Gagauz and Moldovan Gagauz brought the problems of the Turkish minorities and communities to the which also belong to the activities of the organizations they represent to their audience..

The meeting took place in his spirit separatist nationalism cultivated by the Parastatal Settlers in our Country included in the stragegic character widening ethno-religious geography combining neo-Ottoman-style Islamism with the ideology of pan-Turkism presenting another identity of the nation discovering “Turks” even where they objectively do not exist through the strategy of soft power and the teaching of the Turkish language, the printing of books or the promotion of Turkish culture.
They appeared as “hosts” of the meeting the Turkish Consul and the whole mess of the parastatal Settlers of Komotini and Xanthi who in dances accused the Greek State with the well-known pretexts that, however, are gradually cultivating a negative image for Greece on the map of international relations and minority rights.
The Greek State is following the developments with due attention.
