Epirus is second in the list with the longest life expectancy in Greece

After the North Aegean, which is at the top, the inhabitants of Epirus have the longest life expectancy.
Women in the North Aegean islands have the highest life expectancy in our country at 85.8 years and men at 80.5 years.

In second place are the women of Epirus with a life expectancy of 85.1 years and the men of Epirus with 80.2 years.

The detailed data on life expectancy in all EU countries and by region were published together with infographics by Eurostat, based on 2021 data.

As the report notes in the last decade, while life expectancy in the EU increased at a steady rate until 2019, where it reached 81.3 years, the pandemic in 2020 and 2021 caused a decrease, falling to 80.1 years.
