--

The twelve new cameras that will control the traffic on the bus lanes were put into operation today. The camera records the violation and the driver will receive the call in the mail at home.

The fine for each violation is set at 200 euros. The cameras installed by OASA in collaboration with the Traffic Police operate every day and Saturday from 6 am to 4 pm.

Where are the new cameras?

  • Vasilissis Sofias Avenue: 5 cameras
  • Kifisias Avenue: 1 camera
  • Mesogeion Avenue: 3 cameras
  • Alexandra Avenue: 3 cameras

What will the cameras record?

The OASA will deliver to the Traffic Directorates at regular intervals, encrypted material that will be taken from the new digital cameras, so that the competent bodies can confirm and send the violations. The speed control system (radar – camera) mounted on a post-cab (chamber) will control the speed of all passing vehicles. The vehicle that violates the A.L.L. it will be recorded and captured in the photo.

Also, the photo will show: speed of movement, the point/lane of the violation, the direction, the date, the time as well as any element deemed necessary to document the violation. The violation will be recorded in a photo by means of a special color digital camera, while there will be the possibility of separating passengers (I.X.) and trucks.
