The coordinating committee of the country’s bar associations has decided on various actions around this issue.
Speaking to ERT Tripoli (“Open Line”), the president of the lawyers of Tripoli, Dimitris Kostogiannis, among other things he said the following:
“There will be a meeting of the lawyers with the parties of the Parliament, but also with the institutions. We will proceed with a protest at the Ministry of Finance, while, after the contacts that are now being made with the relevant ministry, an extraordinary meeting of the presidents of the country’s bar associations will follow on Saturday, in the afternoon, in Athens. There is an injustice”.
Controversy prevails in the lawyer industry with the upcoming digital judge “Kallicratis”.
There seem to be objections to the possible abolitions and mergers of the country’s magistrates’ courts.
