A 45-year-old foreigner was arrested, during the spontaneous procedure, in the evening hours of Sunday (05.11.2023), in Corfu, by police officers of the DI.AS. team, against whom a case file was filed for theft and an attempt to commit the same crime in succession, as and drug possession.
In particular, the police officers, after being informed by the Operations Center of the Corfu Police Department, regarding a citizen’s call, acted immediately, locating and arresting the foreigner, who a short while ago, in an area on the outskirts of the city of Corfu, after breaking the main door of a shop, removed from the interior, a computer (laptop), a camera and other items, which were found and returned to their owner, while, in addition, in his possession, -100- drug tablets and a small amount of raw cannabis were found and confiscated.
From the further police investigation carried out by the Security Directorate of Corfu, it emerged that the foreigner was involved in three more cases of attempted theft, on Sunday night, in the same area, of which two from shops and one from a motorcycle storage area.
The arrested person was taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Corfu.
