A C-130 aircraft from Greece departed a short time ago, loaded with humanitarian aid bound for the Gaza Strip.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this is pharmaceutical and medical material collected by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health and with the support of the Panhellenic Union of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
The mission was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Egyptian authorities.
At the same time, the consultations and efforts to open a humanitarian corridor by sea are continuing and Athens – Nicosia – Paris are on an open line.
This is an initiative of Greece, Cyprus, France in coordination with international organizations and especially the UN, but also with Israel.
It is recalled that for our country the protection of civilians and the opening of corridors of solidarity for the transfer of beneficial and effective aid to civilians is an important and top priority.
“For Greece, the dead have no nationality”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Gerapetritis has stated.
