Almost a second tragedy within a few hours in the city of Volos, with a car dragging pedestrians and abandoning them.
In particular, according to information from TheNewspaper.gr, yesterday (5/11) at 16:40 in the afternoon, a Smart car, for an unknown reason, reversed on Efraimidou Street in Nea Ionia, probably in order to park.
How the traffic drift happened in Volos
During the manoeuvres, the car climbed onto the pavement dragging and injuring – fortunately slightly – a 55-year-old man and his 11-year-old son, who were walking carelessly at the time.
Then, the IX car disappeared in an unknown direction, leaving the two injured.
Eyewitnesses state to TheNewspaper.gr that inside the car there was a young child in the driver’s seat and an adult man in the passenger seat.
The Volos Traffic Police is looking for the perpetrators and is conducting a preliminary investigation. An EKAV ambulance arrived at the scene and took the two injured, transporting them to the Volos Hospital.
It is recalled that on Saturday night (4/11) a fatal traffic accident occurred in Volos, with a motorcycle dragging a grandfather along with his grandchild that he was holding in his arms, as a result of which the 4-month-old infant lost his life.
