Association of Unemployed and Development Ag. Dimitriou – Ryakiou: DEFAK is unreliable and insolvent, it says one thing, means another and does another, and the residents pay for it (again) | Daily update for Kozani since 2001 –

The residents of Agios Dimitrios called the water “water” (once again) !!! On Sunday, October 29, 2023, the residents of Agios Dimitrios were informed that from Sunday afternoon until Monday evening, for more than a 24-hour period, there will be an interruption in the village’s water supply, in order to carry out some connection works to the network with the network of Life Giving Fountain !!!

For this reason the inhabitants (will) have to be supplied with water so that they can cover their needs for this short period of about a day, both to have water to drink and for their other uses and for this reason in fact, DEFAK through the Local Community distributed 4.5 liters of bottled water per person!!!

So far so good!!!

Come on, DEVAK says different things, means different things and does different things!!!

Instead of the Sunday afternoon that it had announced that it would cut off the water, DEVAK cut it off at 11 am and as if that wasn’t enough, instead of reconnecting it and having water in the network on Monday evening as it had announced, the water with normal flow came back on Wednesday morning, three days later instead of one that is !!!

So the inhabitants of the village not only did not have time to collect water to have, since instead of Sunday afternoon it was cut off in the morning, at least 6 hours earlier, but they were also left without water for three whole days instead of one, since instead of Monday evening which was to bring it back, it came back on wednesday morning !!!

Nothing else, but DEVAK did not even distribute extra water as it had given for the one day it announced that it would cut it!!! Probably DEFAK is saving on its expenses in order to be able to pay (is it still insolvent here or has it settled???) and its debts (e.g. PPC) and assumed that the residents drink it with the dropper for this did not distribute any more bottled water for the remaining two days of the delay !!!

But the residents cannot stay without water, thirsty and without being able to bathe, staying without the absolute vital and necessary basic good, such as water!!!

Who is responsible for this suffering and this unreliability, insolvency and misconduct of DEFAK and why should every resident of Agios Dimitrios pay for it?

Who will compensate the residents who, while they had been informed to prepare that they would be without water from Sunday afternoon, they were surprised to be without water since the morning and instead of one 24 hours they were without water for three full 24 hours !!!????

Once again DEFAK shows that it does not know what is happening to it and the residents are literally paying for this both with the inconvenience and in the water bills, because let’s not forget that DEFAK claims and demands that the residents pay the bills with contaminated water from the deadly and dangerous Hexavalent Chromium!!!

Is DEFAK taking revenge on the residents with this three-day suffering for their bills of death (Hexavalent Chromium) that they do not pay and ask for a discount for that period?

PS : For the delay in the district heating of Kozani, DEFAK “blames” PPC, even though PPC has been sending a letter for years informing DEFAK and the Municipality of Kozani to do what is necessary in order not to rely on it (PPC) 100 % for district heating, but to proceed with alternative methods so that the great project of economic and important district heating works which for thirty (30) years 25 kilometers away, due to PPC and AES Agios Dimitrios, the residents of the city enjoy and do well Kozani, while 30 years and 500 meters (breathing distance from the AIS) the residents of Agios Dimitrios and the Hellespont region in general are deprived, with unbearable costs for heating in winter!!!

PS 1: Just as DEFAK wants and must provide district heating to the residents of the city of Kozani 24 hours a day, so it must also provide water to the residents without disparaging and mocking them, let alone taking revenge on them for the deadly water!! !

PS 2 : Information says that the connection of the networks (could) be repaired sooner if we take as an example the PPC that works 24 hours a day (morning, afternoon, night both to generate electricity when it is requested, as well as a good time like now to produce district heating so that DEYAK’s consumers don’t get cold!!! DEYAK could do the same so that the residents of Agios Dimitrios don’t stay without water for three whole days and in addition it would be reliable in terms of its deadline! !!

PS 3: The old Mayor didn’t listen to this and the Citizens pushed him away, so he certainly won’t listen now either, we hope the new Mayor will !!!!
