Gortynia: A car hung in the air on a bridge in Dimitsana – The two occupants were saved

Seat belts saved the two riding in a shocking car accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon in Gortynia.

Its driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a bridge with the vehicle actually coming to rest suspended in the air.

As can be seen in the photo, the driver escaped the worst because he was wearing a seat belt that restrained him and did not fall into the void.

Everything indicates that the accident was caused due to the slippery nature of the road.

The Fire Department rushed to the scene and freed the occupants of the car, while the vehicle was then removed before it fell into the cliff.

Another eyewitness wrote the following: “I was also there today… at this point where the incident happened… it was terrible.. he was standing on the cliff… Well done to the people who helped… who strapped the car down to hold it… until for help to come … that we gave courage to the people who were inside. Why were they afraid… What can I say… I was young and I grew old with this bridge. I was passing by with my father and he told me if they fix it…bring it to a straight line…but unfortunately nothing…Ai George who is there…has helped to prevent people from getting lost…We hope something will happen”
