Humanitarian aid from the 2475 Rotary District to the flood-affected villages of Thessaly

The 2475th Rotary District of Rotary International “with the Commander Dimitrios Beko and the groups of Thessaly, with group coordinator P.O. Larissa East, on Tuesday, October 31, they distributed humanitarian aid (bedding, food, hygiene items, clothing & footwear, cleaning supplies, baby food and milk, etc.) to the following villages affected by the floods: Pineida, Keramidi, Megala Kalivia (Trikalon district), Palama (Karditsis district), Vassili, Hyperia, Koutsochero, Sotirio (Larissa district), “White Butterflies” foundation, Volos.

The humanitarian aid was gathered by the Rotary Clubs of: East Thessaloniki, West Kavala, Athens “Anoixi-Semeli”, Kifissia “Politeia”, Vouliagmeni, Heraklion “EL GRECO”, Ioannina, Rhodes “Kolossos”, Corfu “Kapodistrias”, Komotini, Komotini “Rodopi”, Zakynthos, Larisa East, Larisa “Pineios River”, Volos, Volos “ARGO”, Trikalon, Rotaract East Thessaloniki. From the Region of Thessaly and we sincerely thank the Regional Governor Mr. Costas Agorastos and his colleagues, because in addition to the humanitarian aid, they also provided us with the collection and storage area from the private individuals Pavlidou Lia (Rhodes) and the extended family of the rot. Surely with our move we did not save the situation! Our goal was to see these people up close, shake their hands, give them a smile and a hug and tell them that humanity has not been lost, regardless of whether everything around them has been lost!
