Newly appointed: Self-justified and retrospective permanentization of 10 teachers by the DDE of Heraklion!

The Directorate of Secondary Education of Heraklion, Crete, proceeded today to self-righteous and even retrospective permanentization of 10 teachers, despite the pressures of the Ministry of Education to evaluate the newly appointed before they are permanent!

In fact, this decision comes a few days before the trial, based on appeals made by other newly appointed employees against the refusal of the HYPETHA to automatically make them permanent after completing two years in the service!

Specifically, the director of the DDE of Heraklion, Mr. Ant.Fountoulakissigned today the retroactive permanence (from 20-5-2019) of the 10 teachers, finding the automatically permanent from the date of their appointment, in accordance with the provisions of article 252 of Law 4610/7-5-2019 (Government Gazette 70A’)

This article provides for the following:

“Teachers appointed to primary and secondary education in accordance with article 73 of Law 4589/2019 (A’ 13) they are automatically permanent from the date of their appointmentexempted from paragraph 7 of article 62 of the same law, as well as from the mandatory stay in the placement position and the prohibition of official changes provided for by the provisions of paragraph 5 of article 62 of law 4589/2019 (A΄ 13), of par. 7 of article 67 and par. 9 of article 68 of Law 3528/2007 (A’ 26).”

This is a particularly important development for newly appointed teachers who claim their permanency under the laws in force when they were hired.
