The symposium is attended by 25 delegates, history researchers, former students, colleagues and collaborators of Kostas Komis from the University of Ioannina, the National Research Foundation, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Ionian University, the University of Patras, the General Archives of the State , and other research and university institutions. His scientific and teaching work, as well as new research in the fields of political, economic, social history and historical demography from antiquity to the 20th century, will be thoroughly presented at the symposium.
More specifically, on Friday November 3 (14:00-19:45), in the first session the historian Kostas Komis, his life and work will be presented, in the second session the productive activities and movements during the Venetian period will be examined period, while in the 3rd session issues of logistics, coexistence and symbiosis of populations from antiquity to modern times will be discussed. On Saturday, November 4 (time 9:00-13:45), the 4th session will examine issues of the formation of modern Greek cities, the 5th session is dedicated to the local history of Ioannina and Epirus, while the 6th session will present newer approaches to art history and historiography.
