The Labor Center of Heraklion invites the producers of the prefecture, who wish to participate in the Pilot Program for the mobility of 500 unemployed people for seasonal employment in the primary sector from the Region of Western Macedonia to the Regional Unit of Heraklion of Crete, to contact the EKHI call center directly at 2810 281981 ( every day from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00) in order to leave their details (name and phone number).
Next Monday, November 6, the list of the first producers will be sent to the Labor Centers of Western Macedonia, in order to immediately start the implementation of the program in question.
This is a subsidized program, the aim of which is to provide incentives to the unemployed in the Region of Western Macedonia, in order to come to Heraklion and be employed in the primary sector, where there is an increased need for a workforce.
The travel and relocation allowance of the beneficiaries covers both the travel costs for the journey and the return and up to the amount of 250 euros, as well as the relocation costs and up to the amount of 250 euros per month.
As pointed out by the President of EKHI, Stelios Borgias, “The employee receives a subsidy amounting to the amount of the rent and not more than 250 euros if he completes at least 10 days of insurance. If the employee performs less than 10 days of insurance per month, then the subsidy amount is reduced by 1/10 for each day of insurance that falls short of the ten (10) days.
