The Turkish media reports a very strange story, in which our country is also involved, as they report, 4 Kurdish “terrorists” were killed by soldiers when they crossed the Evros border. In fact, as they say, they probably came from the (long-closed) refugee center of Lavrio!
As OPEN correspondent Maria Zaharaki reports, the news is spreading in Turkish media today that 4 alleged would-be kamikazes coming from Greece with the intention of carrying out suicide attacks inside Turkey were neutralized in Evros.
In fact, the pro-government newspaper Yeni Safak returns today to the issue of Lavrio with an article about the extermination of would-be suicide bombers on the Greek-Turkish border of Evros.
According to the publication, “4 DHKP/C terrorists, who were trying to cross from Greece to Turkey for a bomb attack, clashed with Turkish soldiers at the Evros border. The terrorists, who returned fire, were captured dead. Suicide vests with explosive mechanisms were found on the terrorists and on the route they traveled.”
The newspaper claims that the would-be kamikazes came from the Lavrio camp in Greece, which it says “is the European training and refuge base for the terrorist organizations PKK, DHKP/C, MLKP, TKP-ML, TIKKO and FETO. The camp, which has so far hosted hundreds of terrorists, is also the first stop in Europe for terrorists who escaped from Turkey. At the camp, terrorists are trained in bomb-making and sabotage. The terrorists who were neutralized on October 30 at the border are also believed to have come from this camp.”
The ridiculous Turkish propaganda about the training of “terrorists” from Greece is also caught here… unread, as in an action that was strongly criticized from many sides, the well-known Kurdish refugee center in Lavrio was evacuated by the government last July. The Turkish media then “welcomed” this move, but today they see… “terrorists” from the same point…

This particular propaganda apparently “caught”, as the government, without justification, evacuated the specific structure, which housed Kurdish refugees for decades…
