In Molyvos and Skalochori, the continuation of gynecological checks by the Mytilene Hospital

The Administration of the Mytilini Hospital in collaboration withv Gynecology Clinic and the Cytological Department of is pleased to inform the residents of our Island, that it will continue the gynecological checks (TESTPAP), mammography check and breast palpation, in its female population, in the month of NOVEMBER as below

From 9:00 am – 1:00 pm on regions :

• Friday 10/11/2023 in MITHYMNA (MOLYVOS)
• Wednesday 11/15/2023 in SKALOCHORI

Those interested from the neighboring villages can also come.

Cervical cancer is one of the most common malignancies in women. The risk of cervical cancer increases significantly for women over the age of 30, while it is preventable and treatable, as long as it is detected early enough to be effectively treated.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, the second leading cause of death in women (after lung cancer), and the leading cause of death in women aged 45 to 55 years.

When detected and treated early, breast cancer is usually curable.

Women of all ages are requested to participate in the action which will be repeated monthly in different parts of the island and relevant updates will follow with Press Releases.

We continue our effort with the aim of further improving and upgrading the health services provided, safely offering high-level health services to the residents of our country, which we owe, while with organized prevention on our island we put into practice the slogan of the Ministry of Health “Prevention saves lives.”
