The blows he had in the occipital region may have been caused either by a blunt instrument or after falling with the rear part on a surface.

The medical examiner is awaiting the results of a CT scan to which the 16-year-old has undergone.

In a statement, the Hellenic Police Headquarters denied that it was involved in the girl’s injury, specifically stating that on (28/10) at around 8.15 p.m., OPKE police officers, who were searching for a group of people who had previously entered a store causing damage and injuring two people, they were attacked unprovoked by about 50 people in the area of ​​Neos Heraklion.

“The above persons, with their facial features covered, attacked fiercely with stones and bottles and immediately dispersed, without the police using their equipment.

When the aforementioned people left, the police noticed a woman wearing black clothes, gloves, a surgical mask and a hood, lying on the ground, and found that she had a head injury.

As the police tried to give her first aid, a group of 100 to 150 people, having similarly covered their facial features and carrying truncheons, wooden and metal poles and other objects, launched another fierce attack against the police, which resulted in extensive damage to 2 official vehicles and the injury of 2 police officers.

To deal with the new attack, the police officers used appropriate means, as a result of which the people fled, while the E.K.A.B. station was called to the scene. who transported, accompanied by the police, the woman to a hospital, where she is being treated. It was established that this is a 16-year-old girl, who was arrested for her participation in the aforementioned attack and was then temporarily released following the order of the competent Prosecutor. At the same time, he was examined by a medical examiner inside the Hospital.

A protective helmet cover, with black paint, 3 stones, a glass bottle and a plastic bottle were found and confiscated from the scene of the attack. A preliminary investigation into the incidents is being carried out by the State Security Sub-Directorate, while at the same time a Preliminary Administrative Examination has been ordered.”
