Scream of anguish from the doctors of Larissa! “We need anti-tetanus sera and vaccines” – PatrisNews

The doctors of the University Hospital of Larissa point out the immediate need to take measures to protect Public Health in Thessaly, affected by the floods.

The Board of Directors of the ESY Physicians’ Association of the Larissa University Hospital, after the catastrophic floods that took place, irreparably affecting the citizens of Thessaly and the natural environment, immediately requests the activation of the state mechanism, with the aim of protecting the People’s Health.

In this direction, the doctors demand the immediate provision of health facilities in the area with anti-tetanus conditions and vaccines, to cover the safety of the citizens who flock every day.

Citizens, as reported, are unable to obtain these vaccines from pharmacies, due to shortages.

In addition, they call for preventive aerial spraying of the Thessalian plain to prevent mosquito-related diseases (West Nile virus, Malaria, etc.)

“The time has come for the state to assume its responsibility. No more individual responsibility candy. The Health of the People is an immediate priority. We ask for measures to be taken, NOW”, the doctors conclude in their announcement, according to newsit.gr.
