No from PASKE and DAKE to GSEE for a strike on September 21 proposed by DAS. Specifically, at today’s meeting of the Confederation’s Executive Committee on the issue of the anti-labor legislative monstrosity for labor, together PASKE and DAKE rejected the proposal to declare a 24-hour Pan-Hellenic strike for Thursday, September 21.

In fact, the president of GSEE claimed that he would protect workers from illegal work, while DAKE claimed that there was no need for a strike.

The majority of GSEE are scumbags

The majority of the GSEE is a scoundrel of the government and the anti-labor policy, PAME emphasizes in a statement.

It states:

“At the meeting of the executive committee on the monstrosity of the labor bill, which took place at the insistence of the DAS, together PASKE and DAKE rejected the proposal to declare a 24-hour All-Worker Pan-Hellenic strike for THURSDAY, September 21, considering that the bill has been improved with the contribution of the comments and corrections sent in the consultation process.

So that the president of GSEE now appreciates it as a balanced one that comes to regulate illegalities and protect workers who work in a black labor regime. The president’s proposal to accept the monstrosity bill on its merits, even though he admitted that it further criminalizes the right to strike, found the absolute support of the DAKE and negative but no need to strike.

The position of the DAS in its entirety set out the anti-labor nature of the bill which abolishes the 5-day, 8-hour day, imposes 13-hour work, abolishes the Sunday holiday in a number of places, and further criminalizes the right to strike and trade union action.

He raised the issues of claiming support measures for those affected by the recent floods in Thessaly and those who have suffered disasters from previous fires, pointing out that the working people and those affected now have much more need for struggle and advocacy centered on their needs and cannot stay in fairy tales and government promises to improve wages with a yalanji thawing of the three years, with crumbs shared for the great disasters that are the result of a perennial policy that puts the needs of workers on the sidelines of the cost-benefit logic.

The class trade union movement calls on all unions, federations, labor centers throughout the country to take the case of the success of the 24-hour strike, which has been declared by hundreds of trade unions, into their own hands.

We will not compromise with labor relations that will turn us into modern day slaves to ensure the profits and competitiveness of businesses.

Our answer is only one: EVERYONE ON STRIKE ON SEPTEMBER 21st and at union strike rallies across the country.

To defend our life, our work, our rights. Let’s throw out the employers’ people from the unions for WORKERS’ UNIONS AND NOT THE EMPLOYERS’.
