Specifically, at today’s meeting of the Confederation’s Executive Committee on the issue of the anti-labor legislative monstrosity for labor, together PASKE and DAKE rejected the proposal to declare a 24-hour Pan-Hellenic strike for Thursday, September 21.

The president’s proposal to accept the monstrosity bill on its merits, even though he admitted that it further criminalizes the right to strike, found the absolute support of the DAKE and negative but no need to strike.
The position of the DAS in its entirety set out the anti-labor nature of the bill which abolishes the 5-day, 8-hour day, imposes 13-hour work, abolishes the Sunday holiday in a number of places, and further criminalizes the right to strike and trade union action.
