The foreigners, aged between 17 and 19, live in accommodation facilities in Omonia and Piraeus and, according to information, their delinquent behavior is known both in the center of Athens and in the southern suburbs.

The 17-year-old was saved thanks to 22-year-old Manolis Kafetziadis, who works in an adjacent beach bar and is an expert in martial arts. The young man rushed to the scene, while the police arrived a little later.
Almost at the same time, the audacity of the perpetrators was such that they also attacked a 15-year-old to steal his mobile phone.
The four perpetrators were arrested after a manhunt launched by the police officers of the DIAS team.
Two of them were located near the beach of Freattidas and confessed that the third of the gang had gone to hide in a refugee accommodation structure in Piraeus. Near this point, the authorities also arrested the fourth perpetrator.
All four Egyptians were identified by their victims and are charged with, among other things, attempted rape, attempted grievous bodily harm and attempted theft.
