Ex-King Constantine: To be buried in Tatoi, interministerial Wednesday for the funeral ritual

On Wednesday morning, an inter-ministerial meeting will be held, in order to take the decisions on the funeral ritual of the former King Constantine.

Former King Constantine passed away from multi-organ failure at the age of 83 on Tuesday night, January 10.

His burial will take place in Tatoi, in the royal tombs, according to information from iefimerida.gr.

The question is whether it will be buried with Head of State honorsas it has been, which is said to be the wish of his family and has been duly explained, however it’s not the most likely scenario.

According to government sources, the matters related to the burial procedures of the former king will be discussed in an inter-ministerial meeting tomorrow morning, after morning coffee, where everything will be clarified.

The visit of Nikolaos and Pavlos to Maximos, the meeting with Gerapetritis

According to information from iefimerida.gr, the sons of the former king, Nikolaos and Pavlos, had visited the Maximos palace and had met with the Minister of State, Giorgos Gerapetritis, whom they informed about the critical state of their father’s health.

The funeral of the former king is very likely to be attended by a representative of the British royal family – perhaps even King Charles himself, who had particularly close relations with the deceased. After all, the former King Constantine had baptized the heir to the British throne, Prince William.

It is noted that an announcement about the death of the late king will be issued tomorrow, Wednesday, both by his family and by the “Hygeia” hospital, where he breathed his last.
