Patras: Letter of SKEANA to Skrekas and Georgiadis – “Electro-shock of energy”

SKEANA sent a letter to the Minister of Environment and Energy Kostas Skrekas and the Minister of Development and Investments Adonis Georgiadis sounding the alarm regarding business and the issue of energy.

As they typically state in the letter: “The announcement of the subsidies on business energy bills, as well as their de-escalation for businesses that exceed 2000kw, leaves thousands of catering businesses across the country unprotected.

No matter how much the support was propagated with vague percentages that do not appear in the finals
accounts of the owners, the truth is that the measure does not cover his businesses
sector.

The focus is forced to subsidize for the month of October without a scale of consumption, with 398
euros/megawatt hour for the total consumption, since the vast majority of
businesses are energy intensive due to their activity.

The government must choose policies to support the sector and not options that will
permanently disconnect from the economy”.
