A memorandum of cooperation was signed during 86th International Exhibition of Thessaloniki The president of SEVE Simeon Diamantidis and rector of the University of Western Macedonia, professor Theodoros Theodoulidis.
The memorandum was signed at his stand SEVE-Association of Exporterswith the aim, as mentioned in the announcement of SEVE, to develop joint actions for the interconnection of the academic community and extroverted entrepreneurship.
Among the actions agreed upon are “the utilization of the services of the PDM laboratories, the know-how and the research of the university, with the aim of the development and competitiveness of Greek businesses and the stimulation of employment
»The development of joint promotion and publicity of research results, for the benefit of researchers, businesses and the wider society
»The development of actions at the University related to entrepreneurship with an emphasis on extroversion (through mentoring processes, coaching, expert presentations, specialized training, etc.)
»Cooperation for participation in financial programs and instruments, including the Just Transition Plan
»The joint organization of educational seminars and other educational activities, with the aim of developing specialized knowledge and skills according to the future needs of the labor market
»The mutual promotion of PDM and SEVE education/training activities
“SEBE’s cooperation with the PDM Liaison Office and its utilization for the benefit of the educational and business community
“The cooperation and the joint initiatives for the utilization, promotion and adoption of the requirements of the 4th Industrial revolution, the circular economy, the Just Transition (SDAM), etc.
“The joint development and implementation of innovative actions for the benefit of the development of the local labor market and the prevention of brain drain”.
From the cooperation of the two sides, SEVE estimates that “valuable synergies with multiplying and measurable results in the field of training, employment, applied research as well as regional and local development” will be developed.
The signing of the Memorandum was also attended by the vice chancellor of Finance, Planning and Development of the University of Western Macedonia, Professor Georgios Iordanidis and the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Professor Androniki Katarachia.
