Before his transfer to Olympiakos, James Rodríguez asked the opinion of the former striker of the red and whites, Felipe Pardo.
After Marcelo, Olympiacos made the second big “bang”, as it acquired James Rodríguez. In fact, before his arrival at the red and whites, the Colombian superstar consulted his compatriot, Felipe Pardo, who has passed through Piraeus.
“Yes we talked. He asked me how Athens is. I thought he was going on holiday but I didn’t know he was going to Olympiakos. I told him Greece is the best country and he will enjoy it. Hopefully he won’t have any injuries and grab the opportunity to play in Greece” Pardo said.
He then stated: “I wish him success and show the football he can play. He is more mature and dedicated to the sport.”
Finally, he emphasized that there is pressure on Olympiakos: “They are like Real, Bayern, Liverpool in their league. They are the biggest team in Greece and the one the world sees. A lot of the teams they face hide, they don’t attack.”
