Julianne Moore looked stylish on Tuesday as she touched down in Venice ahead of the 79th International Film Festival. The 61-year-old actress beamed as she stepped off a water taxi, with festival director Alberto Barbera welcoming her.
Moore is attending this year’s festival as the president of this year’s jury. In this role, he will present the event’s highest honor, the Golden Lion Award for Best Film, as well as other official awards throughout the festival.
For her much-anticipated look, Julianne opted for a dark navy jacket with gold buttons, which she layered over a simple white t-shirt and blue jeans. She teamed the look with oversized Far From Heaven sunglasses, finishing it off with a pair of chic loafers, while she carried her stuff in a Gucci tote bag with a matching bag.
The iconic actress loves neutral tones for every occasion while her style is timelessly governed by an elegant austerity and balance. Moore wears jeans whenever she gets the chance, but she’s always “in the hair” when she attends a red carpet event.
The Venice Film Festival is the oldest in the world and was first established in 1932, celebrating filmmaking from around the world. It attracts the biggest stars and takes place every year on Lido Island in the Venetian Lagoon.
