Rapid changes in the Palace – The health problem creates new conditions with the children

--

After the princess’ revelation in an emotional video in March, Prince William and Kate Middleton retreated to their family home at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where they spent Easter with their children. It is believed that the princess’s mother, Carole, moved in with them to provide extra support.

With Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis heading back to school after the holidays, the couple have also returned to work.

Prince William looked relaxed as he visited Surplus to Supper, a food surplus charity in Surrey, on April 20, beaming as he chatted with staff at the organisation. During one conversation, he spoke to Rachel Candappa, who graciously handed out the father-of-three’s cards, wishing both his wife and father well in their individual battles with cancer. In a touching moment between the two, he put his hand on her shoulder in thanks. As she urged him to “take care” of the Princess, he repeatedly said, “I will, I will.”

Now, experts are explaining just how difficult balancing family life and royal duties has been, with royal expert Robert Jobson telling Hello! “It’s been tough for both of them, especially as parents, as they try to balance their children’s mental well-being with the seriousness of her diagnosis.” He then explained that the couple, who will celebrate their wedding anniversary at the end of the month, have grown “closer” amid the health battle. She added that their bond is now “unshakable,” adding, “There’s no doubt that William was Kate’s rock. He is the constant in her life and she is at the heart of his.”

He went on to explain that the cancer diagnosis was a “huge blow” for William and Kate, but the Princess of Wales is determined to “follow a routine” for the sake of their children.

Meanwhile, the family celebrated their youngest son Louis’ birthday on April 23. The couple posted a photo of Prince Louis taken by the Princess of Wales on social media, writing: ‘Happy Birthday Prince Louis! Thank you for all the kind wishes today.”

The photo was taken by Kate Middleton and appears to show the little one relaxing on the lawn at home on a blanket. Wearing a plaid shirt and blue shorts, Louis laughs at his mother while crossing his arms and leaning against a cream and black picnic blanket.

“Everyone is doing their best to make sure he’s comfortable,” a source told the British outlet OK!. “Their home is filled with her favorite flowers, cozy blankets and pillows, and her favorite snacks. The family are incredibly happy to have her back at Adelaide Cottage.”

“They tell Kate stories, bring her tea and make her soup. Charlotte even organized a spa. He needs rest but Kate’s heart is not going to chase them.”

“They’re following some new rules, like picking and making their own snacks but also making sure their hands are clean because Kate shouldn’t be exposed to germs during chemotherapy,” a source told the magazine.
