THE Dimitris Kokotas has been in the ICU of the “Georgios Gennimatas” hospital for 26 days, after a heart attack and cardiac arrest suffered on Thursday, March 28.

According to sources from the Gennimatas hospital, the doctors of the ICU where Dimitris Kokotas is hospitalized, have started reducing the medication that “keeps” him in sedation in order to see at what level it is possible for him to “wake up” without there being a problem for him his organization. This is a process that can last more than a day, but can also be stopped if it is deemed that it poses risks for the patient.

On April 9, Matina Pagoni spoke about the evolution of the singer’s health on the “Pame Danae” show, mentioning that there had been two extubation attempts, but the doctors would have to wait a few days, for the next. More specifically, Matina Pagoni had said then: “There have been two extubation attempts, for now there will not be a third one these days. The control will end and the team watching him will decide the next move. There’s an intubation threshold and when that threshold is crossed or it’s borderline, there’s the next stage which is protocol for those stories that the medical team should do and how they should proceed.”
And his wife Dimitris Kokota, Katerina, had confirmed that the effort that had begun was taking place at a slow pace. “An effort has begun, which is being done at a very slow pace, as the doctors have said. This is what we expect”had declared characteristic on the “Breakfast” show.

In today’s statements on “Susou Breakfast”, Katerina Kokota stated: “I can’t describe my psychology to you, I try to put logic first but sometimes the emotion won’t let me. But I’m trying because that’s how it should be for the child and for Dimitris, if I fall, everything falls apart” and added: “Doctors are informing us day by day. They can’t make any predictions, every organization is different.”
